The Program Manager will be responsible for creating implementing programs at DeltaARTS Arts Education Center, including weekend activities and school field trips. This position also prepares grant reports and school schedules for field trips and in-school programs.
DeltaARTS’ mission is to bring imaginative arts education programs to the Arkansas Delta and surrounding communities. We do this through offering art, acting, and creative writing classes at our Arts Education Center in West Memphis and through arts-integrated in-school programs that support literacy and STEM skill-building. In addition, our Crittenden Youth Theater program produces three plays a year.
The Program Manager will:
Create and implement Saturday community programs including a variety of performing and visual arts projects for visitors to enjoy, story times, and art exhibits.
Create and submit reports on program expenses and outcomes to the Executive Director and funders.
Create and implement field trip packages for schools that come to DeltaARTS.
Send marketing materials to schools and schedule field trip packages for schools.
Help with in-school programs as needed.
An ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree
At least 5 years of experience in education or managing educational or artistic nonprofit programs.
A self-motivated, independent worker who is goal-oriented and very organized.
Excellent writing and public speaking skills
This full-time position offers health insurance along with paid vacation and personal time. Because two Saturdays a month are required workdays, this position will have one weekday off two weeks out of each month.
